Jeff Arington, Lead Pastor
Jeff leads the SonRise Church family in discovering and fulfilling God’s purposes for their lives. He and his wife, Valarie, have a passion for sharing Christ with others, whether in their home, where SonRise first began, or anywhere across the globe. Jeff’s teaching style uses his life experiences from marriage, parenting, sports and business to help people connect with God and apply His truth to their lives. Jeff enjoys reading books geared toward spiritual growth, playing hoops, watching any sports, eating desserts and traveling with Val just for fun or on mission trips. Their family includes Zach and his wife Kate, both recent college graduates, daughter Elizabeth who is currently in college and high school son, Nathaniel.
Chad Ricks, Care/Counseling Pastor
Chad serves to connect both visitors and members to SonRise Church. Through Life Groups and other ministries, he is able to help people know others and be known by others. Chad is happily married to Julie, and they have 3 children, Noelle, Chad Jr. & Joshua.
Josh Woods, Worship Arts Pastor
Josh leads the music, production and creative teams to provide a high-energy and passionate worship experience to intimately connect with God. In his free time,he
enjoys a good workout, athletics, live music and watching movies. Of course, he loves to enjoy these things along side his wife, Jennifer. Josh and Jenn are expecting their first child in September 2014.
Dan McManus, Family Pastor
Dan oversees our student and kid’s ministry, working closely with
both staff and volunteers. He also serves to help people find a
way to utilize their talents & passions through teaching CLASS
301: Discovering My Ministry. He enjoys cooking with his wife,
Leslie, fly-fishing, swimming, running and anything outdoors.
Dan and Leslie have 4 children: Connor, Sam, Walker & Julia.
Jessie Dayton, Kid’s Ministry Coordinator
Jessie coordinates the Sunday morning activities for the SonRise Kid Ministry. She is also involved in the Student Ministry. When she’s not acting like a kid herself, she enjoys road trips, concerts, sports (Go Ravens!), sunshine, and unashamedly, Pinterest projects.
Tana Zeller, P.E.A.C.E. Coordinator
Tana is here to help mobilize us to respond to the five giant problems in the world (Spiritual Emptiness, Self-Serving Leadership, Poverty, Disease, and Illiteracy) through P.E.A.C.E.: Planting churches that promote reconciliation, Equipping servant leaders, Assisting the poor, Caring for the sick, and Educating the next generation. When she can manage to find some free time, she enjoys a good book and a good nap.
